The harbour has recently been pul under the control of Harbour Commissioners, and improvements ir contem- plated. When the dredging operations now being carried on by the Dominion Govern. ment are completed, the least width of the channel (after leaving the Narrows") wil! be 1,200 ft. and the minimun depth 35 ft. (L.W.). The Government wharf under con- struction at Salisbury Drive will be 800 feet in length and with a minimum depth of 35 ft. (L.W.).
